Meet the team. This week we have Josh Ellis, application development manager
What do you do?
I lead the business applications and assurance team at DF Capital. Our aim is to support the technical development of projects and initiatives into the business while ensuring we continue to provide a safe environment for our customers. In the last 12 months the team have helped deliver some great improvements for our customers, such as DF Choice for our Commercial customers which gives more flexibility around pricing and term of loans. Separately for our Savings customers we have provided 24/7 payment application, enabling real time confirmation of funding.
How long have you been at DF Capital?
Three years
How are you helping customers at the moment?
I am currently project managing the delivery of our online savings platform. This will allow our customers to have instant access to their account information and provide them with a seamless savings journey. I am also focused on enhancing and extending our telephony proposition for both our Savings and Commercial customers to allow for a more seamless experience for everyone calling into DF Capital.
What attracted you to DF Capital?
I love the eagerness of the team to do things at pace, deliver great value to our customers and our ability to empower staff, irrespective of role or experience, giving them the opportunity to improve themselves and the business.
What was your first job?
My first job was a paper round when I was at school.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
If I won the lottery, I would use the money to travel the world. I would also buy the Bunny Jacksons chicken wing bar in Manchester and create a national chain throughout the UK!
